Alistair started work at Citibank in 1993 after graduating. In 1994 he joined Christie Brockbank Shipton as a Syndicate Analyst. While at CBS, and later CBS Private Capital, he was involved in analysing all syndicates in the market, as well as managing CBS’s MAPA portfolios. In 2002 he became the Operations Director of CBS Private Capital, a position he held until HAL acquired the Members’ agency business in 2006. Alistair is now the Head of Research at Hampden Underwriting Research, the research arm of Hampden Agencies. He is also on the MAPA Committee, which manages the Hampden MAPAs and has recently completed an MBA at Henley Management College.
