Charles joined Chandler, Hargreaves and Whittall in 1975 as a broker. In 1982 he moved to the broker Richards Longstaff and in 1985 he joined Willis, Faber and Dumas Members’ Agency, becoming a director in 1989. Following a management buyout in 1997 the agency business was sold to Hampden in 1998. Charles has looked after Names and held management positions for many years and underwrites through a Nameco.
