Richard has an honours degree in Mathematics and is a Member of the Personal Finance Society. He first joined the Lloyd’s Market in 1977 with Fenchurch Underwriting Agencies, becoming a Names’ Director in 1981. He was a founding Director of Minories Underwriting Agencies in 1993 and subsequently held the same role with Aberdeen and, later, HAL, looking after unlimited and corporate Names in the U.K. and Ireland, as well as North America.
