Giles joined the Lloyd’s Market in 1981 and started as a marine broker with Bain Dawes before joining Wren Underwriting Agencies as a Names’ executive in 1988. He was appointed Deputy Chairman of Wren in 1996 and he was a founding director of Cathedral Capital Plc on its formation in 1997. He joined CBS Private Capital as a Names’ director in 2001 and continues in that role at Hampden following the acquisition of the business of CBS in 2006.
