Jonathan is a Chartered Insurer and began his Lloyd’s career in 1976 as a marine broker for H. Clarkson. In 1983 he joined Merrett Syndicates, becoming a director in 1986. In 1987 he moved to Janson Green as a director and remained there until the agency merged with Willis Faber and Dumas in 1993. Following the acquisition of the Members’ agency business by Hampden in 1998, Jonathan moved to Kiln Cotesworth Stewart where he became a director in 2000, following the merger with Anton. In 2005 Anton merged with Argenta and Jonathan joined Hampden as a consultant. Jonathan became an unlimited liability Name in 1978 and converted to a Scottish Limited Partnership in 2004.
