Nicholas joined a Lloyd’s broker in 1965 and then worked on an underwriting box for a Lloyd’s Syndicate from 1966 for four years. He returned to Lloyd’s in 1987 as a Lloyd’s Members’ Agent and was appointed a director and Names executive of Stewart Members’ Agency before becoming a director and Names’ executive of Christie Brockbank Shipton in 1996. He transferred to Hampden Private Capital in 2005. Nicholas became a Name in 1997 and traded in that capacity until 2006 when he converted to a Limited Liability Partnership with his wife.
