“William is a member of Hampden Underwriting Research (HUR). He is also a Director of Hampden Insurance Protected Cell Company (Guernsey) Limited (HIPCC), which has been responsible for developing and offering Hampden’s Members reinsurance products of the insurance cycle, such as HARP 1 & 2, HALO 1 & 2 and HASP 1 & 2. His time is divided between HUR and HIPCC. He spends most of his time developing products for HIPCC. He started work in Lloyd's in 1980 with a Lloyd's non-marine syndicate. In 1983 he moved into Lloyd's broking, specialising in non-marine reinsurance and Lloyd's Members' personal stop loss. In 1985 he joined the members' agency Fenchurch Agencies, becoming a Director in 1988. Hampden Agencies bought Fenchurch, following several mergers and consolidations amongst members' agents. In 1995 he started concentrating on the research and analyst side of the agency business.”
